Guidelines

New parishioners may register their child(ren) anytime during the year. First Grade Parents: Please provide a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate if your child was not baptized at St. Thomas.  Please come into the parish office to register. We look forward to sharing the love of Jesus with your child and working with you to bring his message to life.

Registration Fee
In order for us to provide a quality religious education program and to cover the cost of textbooks, activity books, paper, art supplies, etc., it is necessary to charge a Religious Education fee. This fee is $ 80.00 per child ($140.00 maximum per family). The registration fee is intended to defray some of the expense incurred, while most is paid directly from Parish funds. If for some reason you are not able to pay the registration fee, please contact the parish office at the beginning of the school year to explain your financial hardship.

Teachers
Our teachers have volunteered their time, talents, and efforts to help in the religious education of your child(ren). They are enthusiastic and dedicated, and deserve the utmost respect and appreciation. All religious education teachers must go through the Diocese of Camden required fingerprinting and VIRTUS training class.

Attendance
Regular attendance is a must. A child may not have more than five (5) unexcused absences. An Attendance letter will be mailed home after 5 absences. More than five (5) unexcused absences the child may be asked to repeat the year.

Cancellations
In case of inclement weather or any other emergency, please call the parish office or contact your child’s religious education teacher.
